I love that there is a movement afoot to get families to cook and eat meals together; with obesity and Type 2 diabetes on the rise in this country and around the world, we’ve got to do something to take control of the food we put in our own and our children’s mouths. In previous posts, I’ve written about a few of my favorite cooking blogs including Dinner a Love Story and Mom’s Kitchen Handbook and more recently Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. Just when I thought I didn’t need any more recipes or ideas for creating delicious nutritious homemade meals, along comes Chef Jeff Pirtle. Chef Jeff reached out to me to see if I would be interested in sharing his new cookbook with my readers. While I don’t normally do giveaways on Boss Mom, I’m passionate about food, nutrition and cooking and was intrigued enough to check Chef Jeff and his cookbook out.
A native of Seattle, Jeff Pirtle trained as a chef with advanced training in dietary management. After years of working for top eateries and an extended stint as a private chef, he decided to launch his venture to get families to eat healthily.
The DinneRevolution cookbook is well-organized and features over 200+ recipes – most of which take less than 30 minutes to prepare. The recipes are nutritious, easy to prepare and budget friendly. Here’s a sample of a recipe we tried out:

Chef Jeff absolutely will not sell your e-mail address so you don’t have to worry about being spammed to death. What he is asking though is for feedback on his recipes so if you try something you like, let him know! His cookbook retails for $27.00 so this is a terrific offer. Let’s get cooking.

Thanks for the introduction! I just signed up for the free offer, but really enjoyed learning more about Chef Jeff too. Looking forward to trying out the new recipes–fast and healthy is right up my (g)alley!
(That’s a joke for Chef Jeff btw)
Jen – LOL. Hope you find a few good recipes you can cook for your family. I’m constantly trying out new things on my husband and son and we definitely have a few favorites from this cookbook.
I’ve been wanting to follow some kind of recipe book since most of what I cook is free styling. I will go sign up for the free offer for sure.
Blessing, I’m all about freestyling too! I’ve seen some of your dishes and they always look fabulous. I find myself getting in a rut sometimes so I collect cookbooks to give me some inspiration. Let me know what recipes you like in Jeff’s book.
