Happy New Year! This year marks the beginning of the new lunar calendar celebrated throught the Asian diaspora. I’ve been fascinated with the Chinese zodiac ever since I was a young child and more so after living in China and Japan. This year is the Year of the Dragon. The mystical and powerful dragon is the most auspicious of the twelve zodiac signs. People born under this sign are thought to be strong, intelligent, artistic and pioneering in any thing they do. Those born under the sign of the dragon are also believed to be confident and fearless even in the midst of extreme challenge.
The energy and power of this mythical creature promises to bring luck and good fortune in 2012. Here’s wishing you a successful and productive Year of the Dragon!
